Brian is a triple-qualified advocate, Barrister in England and Wales and Attorney at Law in Trinidad and Tobago. He specialises in Web3, blockchain, digital assets, AI and other emerging technologies, with expertise in anti-money laundering, crypto-asset recovery, and regulatory compliance. As founder of the Blockchain Lex Group and CryptoMondays Caribbean and Africa, he leads a community of over 90,000 members, focusing on legal compliance and tech risks.
Internationally recognised, Brian has influenced policy development and hosted tech experts, enhancing understanding through a popular YouTube podcast. His research on Bitcoin, NFTs, and DAOs is widely cited, featured in SSRN Top Ten, and highlighted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Computational Law Report Idea Forum.
He is completing PhD research in law on the use of blockchain and smart contract technology to achieve transparency and integrity in public procurement and is a TEDx speaker on emerging technology and law. Additionally, he partners with various universities and financial institutions to deliver Web3, blockchain and emerging tech programs to over 12,000 students across the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa.
