The African Caribbean Sustainability & Investment Initiative (ASCII) (formerly known as ACSIS) was created to bridge the historical, cultural, and economic ties between Africa and the Caribbean, fostering meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and transformative action between two regions connected by shared heritage yet separated by geography and centuries of colonial fragmentation.

Despite deep ancestral connections and mutual interests in trade, culture, climate resilience, and development, Africa and the Caribbean have often operated in isolation within global systems that reflect colonial legacies. ACSII was established as a strategic platform to unite efforts, amplify voices, and address shared challenges such as economic inequality, climate vulnerability, limited access to capital, and underrepresentation in global decision-making.

The platform provides an essential space for leaders, innovators, investors, policymakers, and communities to come together to develop practical solutions, celebrate cultural richness, and harness the collective potential of more than 1.4 billion people across Africa and 44 million across the Caribbean.

ACSII represents a growing movement for global solidarity, empowering Afro-descendant communities to reclaim agency, define their futures, and lead sustainable transformation across the diaspora and beyond.
